SPIKE PROTEIN HOMOLOG TO HEPCIDIN: CELLULAR IRON EFFLUX
The Spike Protein of SARS-CoV-2 is homologous to Hepcidin, the iron regulating hormone. The spike protein is displayed on the cell surface, where is engages in Hepcidin-like activity (see diagram). This engagement is activating Ferroportin which is causing iron efflux from the cells "infected" with the mRNA. The effluxed iron allows magnets to stick to the injection site.
